Paramount Studio A:
11:00 - 12:00 Hobo Folklore with Brian Mackey.  Brian will share his own experience riding a boxcar. In addition to that you will be given the oral history of how Hobos came to be in America. Brian will explain the impact the Hobos had on the development of the railroad after the civil war.

12:30 - 1:30 George Zahn from Ring of Kerry will teach a Flute and Pennywhistle workshop. Bring your pennywhistle if you have one, but not necessary. George teaches sixth grade band in St. Cloud District 742. He has been playing flute since 1969.

1:45 - 2:45 Hammered Dulcimer with Paul Imholte from Ring of Kerry. The workshop is designed for beginners to intermediate players. It will cover note layout, where to purchase one or find building plans, chord theory on the instrument, and arranging music for the dulcimer. No instrument is necessary, but everyone who has a dulcimer is encouraged to bring it.

3:30 - 4:15 Politics for Beginners with Music for America. www.musicforamerica.org

4:45 - 5:45 If You Can Speak You Can Sing!!  with Karen Lyu. Improve your singing and express your soul is the basis of this workshop. If you can use your mouth, your breath and your brain to copy speaking sounds, you CAN learn to sing! Class limited to first 10 students to sign up at the festival.

6:15 - 7:15 Film of Zander Villayne: Blues Man; and the Hot Wasabis

Paramount Studio B  (Earth Mother Mind Jam children¹s activities directed by Martha Jane Bernal)

Martha Jane Bernal
Since 1984, Martha Jane has been involved in various art programs through Vacation Bible School and Girl Scouts. She spent five years as a volunteer in the Hands on Art program in the Redondo Beach schools. It seemed only natural to involve herself in great projects like Earth Mother Mind Jam, One Love Festival and One World Festival. Her husband is an ordained pastor and together, they shepherd the St. John¹s Lutheran Church in Los Angeles.

11:00 - 1:00 Wingmaking Workshop for everyone.  All ages. Children 12 or under must be accompanied by an adult as they may need assistance with the project.

1:00 - 2:00 Parade of the little people featuring fairies, butterflies, angels, princesses, princes, warriors, jesters, kings and Queens, musicians, the royal court, elves. Break out the bubbles and the magic wands. We will parade down St. Germain from the Paramount to the Library where Miss Susan of Songbird Preschool will read a few of her favorite children¹s stories. About four blocks to get to the library about eight blocks of walking total. Parental guidance necessary.

2:00 - 6:00 Make your own dreampipe, shaker and other homemade percussive instruments.

Paramount Studio C:

11:45 - 12:30 : American Dream Collaborative Poetry Project w/Jeff Carmack (A work in progress)

1:00 - 2:00 Poetry for the people with Susu Jeffrey and Roy McBride.

2:30 - 4:00 How to use Poetry for Inspiration, Insight and Personal Growth with Mary Willette Hughes.

4:30 - 5:30 Basic Copyrights 101 with Mary Godfrey of Baylight Publishing and Media. Mary will lead a step-by-step explanation on completing the PA copyright form for music and lyrics. www.baylightpublishing.com

5:30 - 6:30 Salubrious Invertebrae (LIVE PERFORMANCE)

11:30 - 12:30 Intro to Belly Dance and other world dances with Global Dance Club and Santhi Muniandy.

1:00 - 1:45 Bodhran (Pronounced Bowran) is a traditional Irish Drum. In this workshop you will receive some history of the bodhran and demonstration of techniques. Feel free to attend with or without your bodhran. Led by Paul Cotton, the founder and leader of the Irish band, Ring of Kerry.

3:00 - 4:00 Spoken Word  for Everyone!  with Nurianne Tomas. Ages 2 and up encouraged to attend.

4:00 - 5:00 Ten Natural Ways to boost your energy, health and vitality with Richard and Bonnett Chandler. This interactive workshop helps you with practical, easy-to-do self-help methods for vastly improving your health. The Chandlers own AcuPolarity Wellness Center and AgeLess Yoga.
